Soft Matter Structure & Physics
Organisms appear rounded at the macroscopic level, yet at the nanoscale, they consist of countless interwoven macromolecular “strings.” These strings assemble into higher-order structures and complexes, enabling sophisticated functions.
Our research focuses on a variety of soft materials, including polymer solutions, colloids, gels, and biological tissues.
By integrating structural analysis techniques—such as light, X-ray, and neutron scattering—with rheological methods and spectroscopy, we investigate the relationship between the macroscopic properties of soft materials and their underlying nanostructure.
